This is a resource I use with my SEN students who are completing IT courses. Students are tasked with creating and conducting a survey (to work on their communication skills and confidence). Students have to find out what types of computer products people prefer (Laptop, Mobile, Smart Watch etc.) It can also be used to develop students’ Excel document skills by collating the results into a bar chart or graph. This resource is a PowerPoint that I print out and use as a work booklet. It is a Formal Art Elements work booklet, which can be used as an activity as part of learning about Formal Art Elements, as a stand alone project for substitute teaching or as an Initial Assessment task. The resource covers the Formal Art Elements: Texture Colour Line Tone Space Shape Form Pattern Students are require to show texture via frottage (rubbings), add primary and secondary colours, fill a box with different lines etc.

This is a resource I use with students completing a Functional Skills - English/Literacy course. It is a Speaking and Listening task, where students have to roleplay or practice making a phone call. The resource states strategies for making a successful phone call. This resource could be used for SEN students, to support them with the Speaking and listening course criteria.

This is a resource I use for SEN students completing Art sessions. At the beginning of the year, the students state what their EHCP Art goal is and how they will achieve it in sessions. This goal is then reviewed again half way through the year and again at the end of the year to measure progress and achievement. (See accompanying Art EHCP goal review sheet.)
